Tuna Melt

This is an amazing Tuna Melt recipe!

INGREDIENTS:
4 slices whole wheat bread
2 (6 ounce) cans solid white tuna, packed in water, drained
3 green onions, white and tender green parts, chopped
1 medium ripe tomato, chopped
2 tablespoons reduced-fat mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
4 dashes hot sauce
½ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat the broiler. Toast the bread in the toaster.
- Combine the tuna, green onion, tomato, mayo, lemon juice, salt, pepper and hot sauce in a medium bowl. Spread ¼ cup of the tuna mixture onto each slice of toast. Sprinkle each with 2 tablespoons of cheese.
- Place sandwiches on a baking sheet and broil until cheese is bubbling and slightly browned, 3 to 5 minutes.
